july daybook

a daybook post to wrap up the month:outside my window the sound of cicadas and a cool breeze after a wonderful day

i am thinking of ways to enjoy the last month of summer

i am thankful for the peaceful rhythm of our days

i am creating knits that all seem to need sleeves. i have a sleeve issue doctor

i am going to enjoy a long warm shower, hot tea and a good book before bed

i am reading Wolf Hall. i am absolutely fascinated by Henry VIII and Cromwell and the creation of the anglican church. it took me a long time to find my groove because of the atypical style of the author but now i can’t seem to put it down. i find it all the more fascinating because it describes the struggle of those behind the scenes rather than Henry, Catherine or Anne Boleyn.

one of my favorite things quiet mornings with no plans and no place to be

a favorite quote for today
