White and Soft

The Mr. asked me if I could make a baby blanket for one of his colleagues who just had her first child. My first reaction was sure and then I said I needed to buy yarn. He looked at me and asked about the visible stash (he doesn’t know about the hidden one). My response was “I don’t have the right yarn…you can’t understand”. Really who can explain to a non knitter the crazy urge we have to stash more yarn in the off chance the world runs out of yarn…

So here I am with a perfect white yarn for a lovely baby blanket. I chose a very simple pattern called Starbust Baby blanket. I stayed away from a more complicated border because I didn’t want any tiny toes or fingers to be tangled in them. Acrylic to make mom’s life easier and white because I love white. The Mr. is happy. His colleague is delighted and I got to spend some time in a yarn store. What’s not to love
