We’re slowly starting to believe that summer is around the corner and that despite the chilly mornings. School is slowly winding down and I have to say that I am looking forward to a our slow paced summer.
The Mr. has discovered the joys of gardening and he is hooked (slightly addicted). He did an amazing job and for the first time in 7 years we might actually have grass instead of moss. I have kept my efforts limited to the flowers and some potted flowers. My last attempt at growing anything was chewed up by the deers, I hope they will stay away this time.
I’ve been working on my neat ripple blanket and it is slowly but surely coming along. I think it will go faster once we start heading to the lake and I will have more time to devote to it. I haven’t been reading much lately and that’s partly because we got cable again. We stopped our service three years ago and I was very happy and productive but with the Soccer World Cup around the corner the Mr had to have it. I guess i will try getting rid of it sometimes in July.
My in-laws are due to arrive on Saturday and everyone in the house is excited to see them. Their last visit was three years ago so the children are thrilled to have them. On my end I am doing the MIL dance, cleaning, putting things away and agonizing on the activities we’ll have during the visit. I am sure it will all go well but still i’m a bit nervous.
Have a good weekend!
