Mystic – Day 2

On our second day in Mystic we visited .  Samy and I have been reading A Young’s people history of the United States and being able to visit the exhibit and learn so much about the native inhabitants of the Americas was truly fascinating. I wasn’t sure the kids would enjoy the museum but they really did. The exhibits are interactive and arranged in such a way to entice both adults and children.

We spent the remaining of the day visiting the Mystic Seaport. We went aboard a preserved  fishing and a whaling boat. The preserved seaport is just gorgeous and all the stores and trades are preserved.

On our last day and before we headed home we stopped at Nature’s Art Village for some gold panning and rock mining followed by a walk amidst the dinosaurs. It was a really fun stop.

And that’s my attempt at getting a picture of the birthday boy 😉
