Reading : The futures

I had always been the girl who did everything right, who had followed the rules and checked every box. The problem emerged from my failure to continue that trajectory. I had grown too unsure about everything. I hesitated, I wavered. I needed someone to tell me what to do next.

I often look for books to help me make sense of the world around me and some time the books find me. I picked up The Futures on a total whim while exploring the new releases shelves at my local bookstore.  The two young protagonists Julia and Evan meet as undergraduates at Yale and move in together after graduation in NYC. Part coming of age novel and part reflection on what makes a relationship, I loved every bit of it. The ease with which they loose themselves and their connection in this new adventure reveals how tenuous our relationships can be.

It was a very good read and I loved the characters even though I sometimes wished Evan was a bit more developed.

P.S: I will be adding a link to all of my reading lists very soon
